So I work for the state government, today my job is being told due to another part of the site being busy that we can just "catch up on emails and training" all day.
I would be concerned, but this is cross the entire facility and happens 3x a year it appears.

If I worked for anyone but the government, they would legit have me going around and dumping trashcans if nothing else. But instead I am locked to my desk all day with nothing to do but Cougarboard. It amazes me how inefficient government can be.

Having worked in all 3 sectors, I thought private business had tons of inefficiency. . . But then realized that govt contractors have even more inefficiency. Nothing prepared me for the 5 people watch 1 person work attitude I see at my current job.
