Yet, BYU approaches its non-P5 games as if the team is playing Alabama. Tuiaki is scared to blitz. Scared to stack the box. Scared to do more than rush 3 or 4 and drop 8 or 7.
As others have noticed and said before, it's no wonder Wyoming was gashing BYU for rushing yards early. Tuiaki's D is a recipe for losses for teams that are willing to use Tuiaki's strategy against BYU's D. All it takes is execution and patience.
Rushing against Tuiaki should be a dream come true. You wear down BYU's D. You keep Jaren & Co. off the field. You shorten the game. Wyoming's OC (calling pass plays) and QB (not being able to hit the broad side of a barn except on rare occasion) were better for BYU's D last Saturday than Tuiaki was.
