For Kalani's first 2 yrs, the offense had a horrible coaching staff with little college experience and ran the offense into the ground. You can't get much worse than a 120 ranking. In the following 5 yrs, they've built up the offense to a top 20 (even top 10 offense) having THREE different OCs during that time. The offense has young players having outstanding games and showing depth when they have injuries.

The defense has had the SAME DC for Kalani's entire 7 yrs yet the defense has NOT improved and the trend is actually downward. The defense uses the same excuse EVERY year ... but the injuries.

The offense is getting guys drafted and drafted in high rounds. The defense is not.

We know BYU CAN be better on defense but so many on CB are willing to defend the status quo which is inadequate and will be exposed even more next year when we have a much tougher overall schedule.
