rcbyufan Intervention Needed
I don't know why I get so bugged about this but here's the explanation
In a 10 team conferences playing 8 game conference schedule. Each team would HAVE to play 4 road games. Assuming they schedule 4 bodybag games this will give each team 8 home games. Meaning the total max inventory is 80 games for the conference if everybody only scheduled home noncon games. (40 of which would be conference games)

Let's take the opposite and say that instead of playing 4 home non-conference games, they each play all road games. This means that total inventory would be 40 games. This is the Minimum inventory for the conference for an 8-game schedule.

Now do the same for 10 game conference schedule:
The range would now be CAPPED at 70 but would have a minimum of 50. The difference is that 50 of those 70 would be conference games.

In a big conference like the Big Ten, they don't play more away games than home games in non-conference. It's the opposite, in fact. The big teams will play more home games than away games.

More conference games means less inventory to sell but could mean more high quality inventory to sell. The TV partners likely don't care about those "Bottom 10" games anyway so they want more quality anyway.
