one player doesn't = playoffs. In fact I would argue pitchers add more..
value at an individual level to a teams overall record than a single hitter does.
You could put a Judge on the Twins and they don't all of the sudden become a playoff contender. You add a Top 5 pitcher and the dynamic changes completely. There is a reason the best pitchers play once every couple days but pull some of the biggest contracts.
