I think Ron McBride said it best in a call-in show 25 years ago
when a fan was very upset by the team's effort the previous week. He said that there would be no football team without the fans and if they weren't upset - he would be disappointed.
Sometimes, we fans too far. But, we are emotionally tied to a team's success. My belief is that we should be careful about calling players out. However, if we didn't care - no one would show up to the games.
