First, I want everyone on this board to know that the player you are referring to was Brian Suite. He actually passed away a couple of years ago due to a rare form of cancer. I didn't know him but feel the need to stand up for the guy.
Now let's clear things up about Brian's "dirty plays." The first incident with Taysom was a normal tackle that happens all the time today, but unfortunately left Taysom hurt.
The 2014 tackle was NOT from behind and was NOT a horse collar according to NCAA rules. He went to tackle Taysom, got stiffed armed (by a very strong athlete mind you), and tried his best to make the tackle while falling down. It was not illegal, nor was it malicious. It was a freak accident.
The third injury came a year after Brian had graduated, so he wasn't involved at all. And that play was Taysom Hill trying to leap a defender and landing awkwardly on his arm.
I hope this could clear up some misconceptions. And more importantly, next time you speak of Brian, you do so with some reverence, because he earned it.
