1. Hall had a few sweet passes. My favorite was the perfect placement on the TD to Erickson. We are so lucky to have him
2. The trick onside kick after the TD was a debatable move, but that was a perfect kick. That player for Utah State was very disciplined staying home. If we attempt that on many other teams, I bet we get it in that situation. Not saying I agree with the decision, but it was a really nice kick
3. I don’t like to call out players. Obviously I know that Hannemann is trying his best, but he seems pretty soft and to miss many tackles. We have to have a better option than him. Utah State’s secondary was flying around and laying the wood. In contrast, he seems to lack that killer instinct
4. We had a lot of sloppy penalties
5. After re-watching the game, we easily could have won by 30 points. Penalties that extended drives, the dropped interception on their first drive when they scored a touchdown, missed field goals, etc. It will take a complete game to beat a Notre Dame team with superior talent, even if they are down this year
6. I love Kalani so much. After virtually every play he’s going over to one of his players to either congratulate them, or to encourage them to be better after a penalty
7. The head official looked like he could play defensive tackle
