I would agree with you except I can't think of a time in the last two
decades when a backup QB got meaningful game time unless the starter was injured. Huge flaw on our approach on that in my opinion. When we are up by 30+ with 10 minutes to go we need to let our backup QBs play like they actually would, including throwing the ball.
