The ONLY metrics BYU does worse than Notre Dame is TOP, penalty yards, FG's, and punts which surprises no BYU fan. And while these are potentially relevant, I'd much prefer the edge on points, yards, TO's, pass and rush yards everytime.
BYU has done better in the air, on the ground, 3rd down conversion, sacks, on points, and taking care of the ball. Some argument to be made that Notre Dame has had a tougher schedule than BYU losing to #2 Ohio, Marshall and then beating Cal and North Carolina.
