Strange. Say what you want, though. A&M has the strongest traditions
and most loyal fans and alumni I've ever seen.

I lived and worked in Texas for 18 years and A&M identity was extremely high. We had a guy in my ward that was a former A&M athlete, married a former A&M athlete and -I kid you not - their loyalty to A&M was higher than their loyalty to the Church. They'd travel to all the games, road and home. We'd rarely see their family at church from September through November.

I also knew a few ward members that went to both BYU and A&M for undergrad then grad (or vice versa with respect to the school order). In every case, they were much bigger A&M fans than they were BYU, which they considered "small time".
