Um...an F22 can lock on to an X-wing and fire missiles from 87 miles a way.
As much as I love Star Wars and the X-Wing, it's not even a fair fight. People really don't understand modern fighter jets...dog fighting is pretty much gone. Rarely is anything being fired within visual range. Kills are mostly being scored from 5+ miles away. The whole point of the F22 and F35 is that it will take you out from many miles away without you ever even knowing it was there.

I think an AIM-120 has more effective range than blasters and the X-wing isn't exactly stealth. Not to mention they
