A few months ago I posted about a great kid from our ward who is a die-hard BYU fan and has some great potential. Since that time Steve Smedley has had some recruiters from BYU reach out to him. Someone from the staff came out to watch him throw at practice and I think he may have had a recruiter attend one of his earlier games this season. No official offers from BYU yet, but they've expressed interest of him joining as a walk on. I think they've been wanting to see how his Sr. season goes. Since then he's received an offer from Texas Southern, I believe he said UofU has also expressed interest as a walk-on, and I think more interest is likely to come his way, depending on how the remainder of the season goes.

His season started a little slow - his team took some close losses early on and his games weren't perfect as the team had to work out a few kinks. But he had a GREAT game just this past week where he threw for around 350 yards, 6 TDs by air and added one by foot. I think it showed a lot of what he's capable of. Decision making was great and ball placement was on point as well. Hopefully more games like this are coming his way. He's such a great young man - He's been working extremely hard and it would be awesome to see it pay off and give him some good opportunities at the next level.
