silentvelcro Intervention Needed
I know, it’s different. This doesn’t even include phones, tablets, laptops, and VR.
Granted we live in Florida and there is a decent part of the year that sending them outside without a pool seems almost cruel. I say that jokingly.

It’s very much a role reversal in this house. I’m the one that tries to limit the “online” time. Luckily I have really good kids that use the time they are not online really well.

My daughter reads and writes stories nonstop. I figure someday she will be publishes as much as she loves it. She is currently doing a lot of prep work so they she can start nursing school in Utah next year better prepared.

My oldest son does yard work around our gated community for people. He has this old retired couple down the street that is so impressed by his attitude and work ethic they pay his $400 bucks a month to do very little. The elderly gentlemen asked me the other day if he could give my son $1000 for December just because it’s Christmas and he remembers trying to find work when he was younger. He seems impressed that my son doesn’t seem to fit his description of so many kids these days.

The other two younger boys are good kids, but I’d like them to stay that way. The Wi-Fi gets unlocked once their limited chores and school are done.
