but you ignore that while we may not have hit the portal as hard in the past (compared to this year), those we did get the last 2-3 years made up a large portion of our starting players. Again proving my point that stringing together a team (starting 5) in which 2-3 are transfers and this year 8-9 guys are transfers is not sustainable for BYU.
I love when BYU wins but one frustration I have with BYU is winning seems to be enough for them. When we win ugly nothing changes. It takes horrible years or basketball and football to make any changes. Look around the country. Winning is never enough for some teams. It’s why BYU has struggled to look better the longer a season goes. It’s like film sessions begin and end with “well we won so not much to do this week.” Obviously I don’t think they say that but seems like the mentality at times.
Sorry my expectations are higher for BYU than just win. Winning is fun but without growth from wins you see what we have going on in the FB program. Look at the wins vs USF, Wyoming, and USU. Those were ugly wins no changes were made to the defense and now you are left with a 6-5 season. Increase your BB and FB IQ and come back next time with some actual facts. I enjoy watching games and I enjoy identifying areas I wish we could improve on. I don’t just watch and smile when we win.
