Two Shichon's - (Shih Tzu / Bichon Frise mix)
One Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel / Poodle mix)
We did our research to make sure that these dogs fit our family. Top priority was low shedding, small to medium sized, and a friendly, patient disposition. They all have been amazing dogs and perfect for our family. We have no regrets. BTW, Shichon's are an underrated mix because they are not a 'doodle'. An incredible, low shedding dog with a great disposition. More people should check them out.
I would never pay anywhere near $5K for a dog but the three we've had have been well worth the $1500 or so we paid for each. Considering that they are a member of the family for 15 years or so, $100/year to get the right dog is not much to pay.
Having said all that, I do respect those who adopt a rescue dog.
