here even among my childrens friend groups.
I explained to them early in life the importance of being a leader and not a follower. Doing and representing what you believe in despite what others think. Somehow it really took with my kids. They don’t care what is popular or what is “not cool” — they just do and wear what they want.
My kids wear lots of byu gear and are excited to get new byu items any chance they can. Yes, they’ve been mocked and teased by teachers, classmates and even friends but they learned long ago to not let it impact them and to do what they want to do.
