Population decline seems like the biggest long term economic threat to me. It
Kills productivity from both sides. The work force (supply) shrinks leaving is entirely reliant on efficiency to maintain productivity growth but demand will also shrink because the number of end users decrease. Things like housing that people rely on for wealth all of a sudden become a depreciating asset because there’s less people needing to by them.
