I'm not sure what you're trying to argue. The original question was "is the game BYU played to win their NC the biggest game ever by a team from the state of Utah". Whatever Washington did or did not do has nothing to do with how big that game was. The way things played out, it was arguably the biggest game, because BYU winning resulted in an NC and losing would have meant them not getting the NC.

If you think BYU was not the best team, there's a good argument to be made supporting that view. It is, however, irrelevant to the conversation we are having.
