I mostly agree
Purdue vs Michigan isn’t compelling. There is nothing on the line.
I agree with you that Utah isn’t a scrub. They also aren’t a blueblood.
If tonight was #11 Utah vs #4 Oregon State with the same implications…viewership would be much lower. People tune in for USC or in the case of last year’s Rose Bowl, OSU.
Utah is good enough to not turn away viewers, but they aren’t driving the eyeballs either. Credit to Utah for being good enough that the games are interesting. But people around the country aren’t clamoring to watch Ute football in and of itself.
BYU and most of the college football world is in the same boat, so don’t think that I am dumping on Utah.
