See Bo Jackson’s stories.. hard work doesn’t always = superstar talent
He rarely worked out, but was all muscle and could put up more weight than anyone; thought it was useless to “go all out!!!” at practice and beat up his body when he knew - and he was right - that he would be the best athlete on both sides of the ball any time he took the field on Sundays. Most coaches hated it. A few realized they were dealing with an enigma and gave Bo room.

When you see these rare athletes that are soaked with talent (whether or not they work hard) the east thought is to assume they worked hard for it - and the even easier thought is to despise them for not going with the system. I sometimes try to take a step back and just witness the greatness that only .00001% of the planet gets to experience.
