20 years ago they were the top league. Then scandal and EPL $$$ passed them up.
Now they are probably league #3 in Europe behind EPL and La Liga. Maybe 4, but Bundesliga and Serie A are similar.
Italian corruption hurts them a lot, but used to help them back in the day when Juventus was really on top.
