If you order states by population per FBS school, Utah is #44
only ahead of New Mexico, Mississippi, Louisiana, West Virginia, Alabama and Wyoming.
If we added another FBS team, we'd drop to #48, only ahead of Wyoming.
Looking at which states could most justify another FBS team, Utah is #40 - ahead of the aforementioned 6 as well as North Dakota, Hawaii, Alaska, and Vermont. But behind places like Ohio and Michigan, to say nothing of Florida and Texas
