Yeah, if the Jets don't want to trade him that's probably why. They would rather
keep him on the roster (he's cheap at this point, see below) and take the chance he develops, than get whatever they could get in trade.

It does seem like somebody would want to take a chance on him. He still has two years left on his rookie deal and his pay was front loaded so the actual cash left to pay him is tiny comparatively (looks like maybe $10m for the next two years). Not bad for a QB with his physical tools. The problem is no one in the league needs a starting QB bad enough to pick up Wilson and plan to roll with him as the starter. If he gets traded he's your backup/development plan at best.

Best choice would be somebody like Green Bay or Tampa that has a starter they like already but knows it is time to prep the next guy and thinks their guy could help Zach develop like he needs to. But it's hard to keep more than 3 QBs on an NFL roster and most teams right now probably don't even see Zach as a viable backup plan for next year (at least) if he were to come in.
