I’ve kind of been amazed at what people have in their homes, and are so excited to show their secret stash off.
One guy I hometaught loved ancient Native American stuff and he’d found a few burial sites and had it in his basement.
Another guy in my Utah ward had a bunch of exotic dinosaur monument bones that he found at an as yet undisclosed federal lands location.
A guy showed me all his gold he secretly took out of the Ute Indian reservation through his “back way” that allowed him a sweet retirement.
I have a bunch of petrified wood my grandfather gave me that may or may not have been found in Yellowstone National Park, and some trilobites and other fossils found on public lands that I’m keeping.
Another guy I worked with was proud of his Chinese dynasty army of clay statues that apparently China was trying to track down.
Another guy had some prominent Nauvoo temple stones he found somehow.
Never seen any stolen artwork though.
What is the most questionable thing you own or have seen someone else own?
