Hey, Sam Bowie could have been an awesome pick.
Portland already had an all star in Paxson and Clyde Drexler looked great his first year. Bowie was expected to allow the team to move Mychael Thompson to the 4 position and Kiki to the 3.
Jordan's talent had been pretty much hidden in Dean Smith's offense, so he wasn't considered more valuable than a top big man.
