and definitely was exacerbated with Covid.

My son isn't a hermit, is very social, and does have interests that get him out of the house which is good. But could definitely see where kids and their friends aren't very social and use these exclusively as their hang-outs.

I will say it does frustrate me still, and I guess that's a Dad thing. Interestingly, just listened to the Smartless podcast yesterday with Bono, and were talking about Bono's teenage son who has a very successful band. Bono talked about going into his son's room one time and instead of telling the son that he was wasting his time, he told his son that with the amount of time he played video games he could maybe become the best at playing video games. But then said that he hopes he never forgets that he's a great guitarist.
