The number of HOF athletes that were also successful coaches is close to zero.  Bo didn't coach.  Deion did, but we'll see if the athletes he attracts to Colorado are good enough to make a difference.  As we well know at BYU, 5-stars for football don't always make a difference.

Magic was a amazing player and a horrendous coach.  Michael was an amazing player and a bad GM/owner.  Bird was good as a coach, but didn't win championships and didn't sustain good teams for long.  Spurrier was a good player and pretty good coach.  We'll see if Deion can even begin to approach Spurrier level.
