We stayed in a fun home (hey, it had a trampoline! and mountain bikes for everybody! Funny the things that kids fall in love with) on the beach in a little town that probably nobody visits outside of the Slovenians. But the food/gelato was cheap, so we could relax and enjoy it and not feel anxious about food costs. The kids hung out on the beach almost every day, and biked through vineyards. Very fun. We've always thought it'd be a great one-off vacation for a family because it was affordable yet beautiful and fun.
