OU can, should, and will compete for SEC championships within 5 years. Will they win one that fast? Maybe, maybe not, but they’ll be in contention.

Everything in the program is looking up currently. The coaching, the talent coming in from transfers and high school recruits, the returning talent, a better conference soon, and more money soon.

OU is already right there with bama and Georgia in talent, history, culture, and maybe coaching. Bama will fall off a little bit before long when Saban eventually retires. We’ll see if venables can be as good as Kirby smart but I think he definitely has the potential. He’s already recruiting almost as well as those schools so he’s off to a good start.
