5 greatest seasons based on strength of schedule
What are BYU Football's top 5 seasons based on strength of schedule?

BYU Football has had many successful seasons throughout its history, and it's difficult to pick just five as the "best" seasons based on strength of schedule. However, here are five seasons where the team had a strong record while also playing a difficult schedule:

1984: The Cougars finished the season with a 13-0 record and won the national championship while playing a schedule that included four teams that finished in the Top 25, and also defeated multiple ranked opponents.

1996: The team finished the season 14-1 and was co-national champion. They played a schedule that included three teams that finished in the Top 25, and defeated multiple ranked opponents.

1980: The team finished the season with a 11-2 record, winning the Holiday Bowl and playing a schedule that included four teams that finished in the Top 25, and defeated multiple ranked opponents.

1981: The team finished the season with a 11-2 record, winning the Holiday Bowl and playing a schedule that included five teams that finished in the Top 25, and defeated multiple ranked opponents.

2006: The team finished the season with a 11-2 record, winning the Las Vegas Bowl and playing a schedule that included five teams that finished in the Top 25, and defeated multiple ranked opponents.

It's important to note that this list is not exhaustive and there may be other seasons that could be considered depending on how one measures "best" or "strength of schedule"

It's also worth noting that many of the college football seasons in recent years have been impacted by various circumstances, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, which may have affected some of the games and the schedule.
