This is a falsehood I see thrown around on CB occasionally
Based on numbers I found, around 95 percent of the US alfalfa stays in the US and only 5 percent is exported. Of that 5 percent, slightly more than half goes to China. So it's true that a majority of our exports go to China. But it's far from a majority of our alfalfa.

I doubt that Utah is significantly different from the US as a whole.
