little brother's case has been given, if anything, a special amount of attention by Orem PD up to this point, and actually throughout surrounding cities as well. They have been scouring canyons, places that we have suggested to look, etc. I cannot express enough appreciation for how personally Orem PD is taking The search and recovery effort for Josh. I will be forever grateful for that.

As far as a formal public search effort ... no. Based on Josh's note, the only thing we are confident of is that Josh's car WILL be found eventually. The fact that his car was not reliable makes us suspect that he wouldn't have gone too far, but given the known timelines of where and when he was last seen, the area that he could be is simply too large to even make a formal search process make sense. I simply suspect that his car is somewhere that it will be found by someone that is NOT his family ... eventually. If there is a better strategy than to tell as many local people to keep their eyes peeled for his car, we are unaware of what that would be.
