I've been in these many times. Some FCC/RF testing is done in anechoic chambers
and it is always a trip. Some are better than others and of course what they're really trying to achieve is zero wave reflections, specifically at the testing frequencies. So the RF chambers probably aren't as 'quiet' to our ears as one that is designed to absorb every frequency/wavelength that the human ear can process.

Interestingly, the cone shapes, spacing, and size are all important; at least I think so. I believe the larger the 'point' of the cones, the lower the frequency it absorbs. So this human silence room has foam cones that are much different than the RF chambers, which generally have more cones and they come to sharp points.

It can get to be annoying enough in an RF chamber, I can't imagine one that absorbs everything my ears can pick up. Fascinating that staying in that room leads to getting disoriented because it steals your spatial awareness.
