The reailty...Bowlsby did this whole thing right...When the BIg XII lost OU and UT they knew things had to change...
The moved quickly to add the 4 best options to expand and stablize the conference. BYU was always the prize in that, and Cincy benefited from being in Big 10 country and being really good at just the right time. UCF is a rising program with good attendance and a decent fanbase and Houston fits as a Texas school.

The Pac 12 sat around for years looking down from their glass tower thinking they were fine, despite cracks forming and then they were blindsided by USC and UCLA leaving for the B1G.

What is even better is that the schools left seemed to think their position was still fine. Then the Pac had to give back millions and they still haven't solidified their new TV deal and have to add two programs that really aren't strong enough to be in a power conference.
