4 teams when 2 might have been enough. But as it truned out adding the 4 that they did seemed to be the right thing since they took probably the 4 schools that would be the most attractive to a conference needing to expand.

Even if the SEC wants to poach schools from say the ACC, they GOR and exit fees have proven to be way too much for a conference as powerful as the SEC. OU and UT are being forced to stay in the Big XII for two more years.

My point...Bowlsby may have been benifited from better timing, but his move to add 4 really hamstrung the Pac 12, while making the Big 12 much stronger than had they not done anything or waited.
