Mostly agree, however it's not stupid, IMO, to include Bill Russell
in the conversation for GOAT. My top 5, regardless of position and in no particular order, are Wilt, MJ, Russell, LBJ and Jabbar. After this many decades and generations of NBA players I think it's safe to say determining the GOAT is very subjective. In the early years the undisputed GOAT was George Mikan. He's now an afterthought. In their era Russell and Wilt were easily top of the list, especially Russell with his 11 titles. Now it's MJ and LBJ who clearly dominate the debate, and rightly so. Personally I think it's hard to make a definitive decision between MJ and LeBron. But if I had to rank those 5, and I'm old enough to have seen all of them play, it would be LeBron, MJ, Russell, Wilt, and Jabbar. My very subjective next 5 would include Bird, Magic, Elgin Baylor, Oscar Robertson and Kobe. And no doubt over time both of those lists will be subject to change. Who knows where current players like Giannis, Doncic and Jokic will end up. No doubt it will always be fodder for endless debate.
