That was a January 2nd thing. We know because Utah was in one of the highest rated in the CFP era the year before
TV ratings are important because viewership is essentially what the networks are looking for.
I don't think they care about whether there's 500k or 1.2 million watching Utah play ASU...they're looking for matchups that can get to the magic 4 million + mark.
Utah's done that 7-8 times in the last few seasons. Not many schools in the west can say that right now.
