He mandated pretty much 9 hour days but on Fridays his boss the VP would walk around asking how many hours everyone had worked so far that week. If you responded with anything over 40 hours he would tell you to go home. If you were close he would tell you the exact minute you hit 40 to go home. It was such a weird situation. I was basically at 40 hours every Friday by at least 10am. I wasn't going in for 2 hours so I usually left at noon.
