Gonna get 10 percent easy. So if you're making about 100 mil a year sans tax, in a decade you're sitting on 2 billion while supporting yourself at 5 million a year. Even foolishly spending you're gone be amazingly fine compared to most everyone in the world.
Now if you're rubbing elbows with the right people a couple hundred million in VC investment could see you in that decade sitting on ten times your principal. Now that same half a percent for living means living off of 50 million.
Yeah go ahead and try and be wasteful as a consumer and see how hard it would actually be.
Any huge purchases like a home retain a value as an asset, even if your were living in the most prestigious hotel in the world you're still sitting in a huge pile of money.
So might as well grow that pile like nobody's business and spend the rest of your days in philanthropic endeavors
