Appear to be a frugal purchase. Warren Buffett, a man that could afford anything drives a 2014 Cadillac. I don't know for certain but I'm pretty sure he bought it new or very "newish". That's frugality for a billionaire.
If I had the money, my frugality would be driven by dispersing unnecessary complexities. I don't want a hug house that has complex mechanical systems, a staff to clean and maintain it, etc... Give me a nice sized home in a great area. Not a frugal purchase by my means now, but not some crazy estate either.
I definitely would not be frugal with cars though. I would likely have a barn full of them.
