...hopefully he sticks around. Pope gave him a lot of time and a pretty big role on both ends of the floor. If he sticks around I wouldn't be surprised to see Pope start working him in at the PG spot next season. You could see that he was developing more game on the offensive end of the floor than just bombing away from NBA range and as Jax started to put the ball on the floor more and try to get to the rim his scoring increased. Getting points in the mid-range and at the rim helped improve his 3pt% as the season progressed.
This was his sophomore season eligibility-wise but it was really his first season getting any real playing time. A couple more seasons of experience and development should bring out a lot of ability in him I think. By the time he's a senior he could be a Shaun Livingston type player in Pope's offense playing alongside a pretty good supporting cast of players.
I think when it's all said and done (providing that Robby sticks around) we'll look at him as a transfer portal success like we do AB. Just might take a little bit more time to bring that out.
