Marchand (NYPost) said this today. For Fox to be in, price needs to drop "a lot"
In other words, reality came knocking dressed as the market. It had a friendly feedback session telling you your offering is garbage. It'll buy said offering when it's priced accordingly.

If I'm Fox, I would've stayed away from the Pac-12 and try to take the brands that matter. Like they did with USC/UCLA
