Generally speaking, it seems teams are worth far more in a P5 than on their own.
BYU may have only been worth $10-15 million per year as an independent but as a member of a P5 conference, they are worth far more than that. I’d guess that this rule holds true for just about everyone. Look at Notre Dame… what’s their media deal worth? $25 million? They’d probably be worth $100 million as a member of the Big 10.
