WOuld you be bothered if your kids call someone a weirdo?
I assume so. It is name calling and a cheap shot. Even if the kid is weird.
The guy literally did that. He took cheap shots. There are ways he could have written in a way to validly criticize his work, point out his weirdness in way that was not personal or derogative. The writer is smart enough to do so. He chose not to. It was a conscious decision by the writer to spark a certain reaction.
