I get it. The adversarial nature of it all is exhausting. I start to feel like I’m just creating problems instead of finding solutions. And despite your best efforts to keep it strictly professional it eventually starts to feel personal on the big cases that go on and on.
Not sure what to tell you other than to hang in there. Thirty years has got to put you somewhat close to retirement.
And from a glass half full approach, it sounds like you’re a level headed and caring individual who has been a peacemaker in an otherwise contentious part of the world. It’s exhausting, but the world has benefited by you being in that line of work.
