is that most cell towers are now owned by companies that manage and maintain them. They sell access to all the cell phone companies. Cell phone companies own few or none in most cases of their own cell towers.

What this means is that any cell company is able to have basically the same coverage as every other cell company. So all cell companies have basically the same coverage. There are of course a few exceptions as some companies still own a few of their own towers. But not many.

So the old adage that one company or another has better or worse coverage no longer applies. If you doubt this, look it up on the internet, it's readily found for any company.

I have phones with service from all the major companies and there is virtually no difference in reception from any company no matter where I go.
