Left a week ago Saturday afternoon. Drove a 32’ motorhome to Salt Lake, attended grandson’s baptism, then made a side trip to Boise to pick up a 27’ trailer.
Then, back to the 15 north via Craters of the Moon national monument to meet up with others in Great Falls, MT, then caravan of 5 rigs north to Dawson Creek, BC and then the Alaskan Highway to Tok. Then down to Wasilla.
Bonus was got to see the Northern Lights while driving after the picture stop in Dawson Creek.
Made a stop at Laird Hot Springs and soaked in the natural spring with the air at 20F.
Nights were spent in the motorhome at rest stops and Walmart parking lots.
Total miles put on the odometer were 4,021.
Flew home to SoCal yesterday.
Coldest temperature encountered was between Destruction Bay and Beaver Creek, Yukon Territory at -21F.
Gonna do the trip again in May with the HCBW. Will take some side trips through Banff and Jasper parks on that one.
