It is everything that movies today are not. No CGI, no formulaic plot, and it’s not built for people with ADHD.

It features some of the best actors the world has ever seen at the peak of their careers. The director (FFC), the composer (Rota) were Academy Award winners at their peak. It is so old and so mature and yet I can put it in right now and my 14-year-old would be enthralled by it.

I can quote both movies dozens of times. The two movies were nominated for 22 Academy Awards combined. 22. Both won Best Picture.

It’s deep, thoughtful, and provocative. The cinematography, costumes, and score are just so dang good.

I don’t know man. They are not fast flying modern movies. But both are great. And they are uniquely fantastic.
