Why this hurts for the BYU fans who play Utah as a dirty school or headed toward imminent demise is that this follows
back-to-back record recruiting classes for Utah. Where even Utah itself, a hard place to attract higher end talent, has been top 20-25.
Wilson is a huge get who will undoubtedly help market Utah and attract other high end recruits.
Overall, it signals the Utah momentum from the 2021 P12 championship is likely going to continue. At least in terms of depth and talent.
That was always Utah's achilles heel.
That said...I believe BYU will benefit will have similar pop in recruiting from the Big 12 and go back to winning head-to-head battles for local and LDS recruits.
